CBT4YOU | Privacy Policy
Privacy PolicyLast updated: November 4, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to CBT4YOU applications for self-reflection, emotional awareness, anxiety management, sleep and other cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)–based tools (collectively, “the Apps”). We respect your privacy and explain here how information is handled. Features and data practices may vary between Apps; any app-specific privacy notice takes precedence where applicable.

2. Information You Enter

Depending on the App, you may enter situations, thoughts, emotions and their intensity, physical sensations, behaviors, sleep-related information, and other personal reflections. Where an App provides a local diary, its entries are stored on your device. The developer does not automatically receive the contents of locally stored entries.

3. Data Storage

For Apps operating solely with local storage, personal entries remain on your device, and an account is not required. These entries are not automatically uploaded to developer-operated servers. If an App introduces accounts, cloud synchronization or other online features, its specific privacy information must explain those practices.

4. Sharing and Exporting Data

Where supported, you can voluntarily export records (for example, as PDF files) and share them through services on your device. Once shared, third-party services may process the files under their own privacy policies. Exported files are not automatically sent to the developer.

5. Data Security

We design local-storage features to keep personal records on your device. Protect your device with a screen lock and appropriate security settings. No method of storage is completely risk-free.

6. Retention and Deletion

Locally stored records remain until you delete them or clear the App’s local data. Where available, individual entries can be deleted within the App. Uninstalling an App generally removes its local data, subject to operating-system and backup settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Apps are intended for self-reflection. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal diary entries on developer-operated servers in Apps that use local-only storage. Age suitability and any additional child-specific practices may differ by App.

8. Health Disclaimer

The Apps are educational and self-reflection tools. They do not provide medical diagnosis, psychological treatment, or emergency mental health services, and are not substitutes for professional care.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will appear on this page with a revised date. If an App’s data practices materially differ from this policy, an updated or app-specific notice should be published before those features are introduced.
